We were doing bench training tonight and right before Amy put her shirt
on a man came off the treadmill---decent shape --early 40's and fell into
a maching splitting his head open---he tried with the help of two trainers
to stand up three times and finally on the third try went into convulsions
and never recovered---we thought it was just a siezure until they defibbed
him seven times---finally they got a weak pulse but I think it was from
the drugs and so much shocking----he was already changing colors and had
been code for twelve minutes----now I know this is off subject but it just
made me really appriciate those that have stepped into my life for it was
a vivid reminder to me that we never know how long we have--this man had
a wife and kids at the house just sitting on the sofa watching tv waiting
for daddy to walk through the door so they could wrap their little arms
around him and listen to his soft words as he painted a picture of tommorow
while rocking them to sleep singing a song or reading a bedtime story---stop
for one minute in this world that demands so much from us and gives so
little back and look around at the ones that expect so little of us and
give so much back--if I have ever meet you or called you friend please
know it was from my heart and if I have ever crossed anyone here please
forgive me---I guess much like that man on the floor tonight I was shocked
back to reality---and I hope and pray all of you as well as myself do not
take one more day in this life for granted---I once heard it said so many
people are busy just being alive
and so few are busy really living----
and with all the tears and heartache in the room tonight our little
crew pulled together hugged, laughed and cried then Me, Amy and Phillip
all hit bench pr's under Kyles wing and it will be a bench night I never
forget-----
