Depends which ones you take regarding what side effects you get. Some are easy to spot and some not. The gains quickly go away after you get off them.

I tried every steroid in the book until the mid-eighties for my job as a pro-wrestler. If you are not using them for money it's definitely not worth the risk, and if you are using them to make money I still don't know if it was worth the risk.

I ended up in the hospital once when the powers to be in wrestling wanted me to blow up in size again and I took my biggest cycle ever. Yeah, I got big. I ended up going out in an ambulance when I hit the floor because I felt like I had an ice pick stabbing me in the kidney and I was vomiting all over the place.

They thought I had kidney stones and kept me in the hospital for a week. Guess what? I did not pass any stones and that was 20 years ago. I got off the crap and never had a problem again.

Admittedly, this was from heavy use. I got off the stuff and never had a problem again. Effects depend on the individual and dosage. Some never have a problem and some are not so lucky but the same holds true for many prescription medications. Back in my day we all had prescriptions and most doctors thought roids were safe and ok to use.

So a suggestion from an old roider: If your going out to win a cheap pile of plastic it is not worth it, even if your going for the $$$$$$ you need to weigh it out if it's worth it in the long run. Money comes and goes fast in life and usually you rob Peter to pay Paul and have to pay Peter back in the end.
