Well, I tried out the ehphd today. Also wanted to try a raw max, so that may have affected the out come somewhat. bar x 10 - 135 x 6 - 225 x 5 - 315 x 3 - 350 x 1 - 370 x 1 - ehphd single on - 385 x 1 - 405 miss - 405 x 1. Did 3x3 135 dumbells, and went home TIRED! There is really not much to compare between the ehphd and the dd. The poly is FAR more like a raw bench in both form, groove, and feedback(pain). This explains why you can train mostly raw for a poly shirt, but get more out of a dd by training with the shirt.Basically, the groove is lower, the higher the level of shirt.I also found because of the lower groove, far more back is involved with the denim. Pecs and shoulders figured in more with the poly. With the denim you really lift from the back to the tri's, with shoulders and pecs as stabilizers, and the poly goes from pecs to shoulders to tri's, using the back as a stabilizer. Traps also are used more with the denim. Interseting comparison. Maybe you guys can use some of these insights in training. I know I will!
